ABOUT AVANCEN

AVANCEN was founded by Sharon Conley, a PhD Biochemist and MD Oncologist who had a mission of improving patient care at the bedside. As a physician, Conley was keenly aware of the need for better pain management systems and set her sights on finding a better way. Her solution: Medication on Demand (MOD®) - the "world's first" oral PCA (Patient Controlled Analgesia). She filed for multiple patents on the device in 2002 and in 2005, AVANCEN LLC was formed. Two years later, in 2007, AVANCEN entered the marketplace with its initial product offering, the MOD®.

As a company, AVANCEN is focusing on marketable product design and launch of leading-edge medical devices that are designed to benefit both the healthcare industry and the patients it serves by improving patient bedside care, comfort, and convenience. For the MOD® and other products currently in development and testing, AVANCEN is working with highly capable industry-leading turnkey manufacturers for their patented devices and related patented disposable products.
